Biography/Administrative History |
Joe Fafard is a nationally and internationally acclaimed artist, born on September 2, 1942 into a large family in a small francophone farming community in Saskatchewan known as Ste. Marthe. From a young age, Joe was fascinated with art and later, through formal training, attained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg in 1966 and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University College in 1968. After graduation, Joe became an instructor in sculpture at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus until 1974. |
